An endless swimming pool, with the bottom of the bay of Benidorm and its guardians the skyline guardians, were witnesses to the catwalk of the National Fashion Bath Prize New Talents FashionSpain 2019, organized by Mediterranean Fashion Beach (MFB) in which the Salamanca Samara Tamames Gonzalez, with its collection "Be Hotel", inspired by the geometric architecture of block and the characteristic harmonious repetition of the hotels of Benidorm, was proclaimed winner of the National to the best collection of swimwear new talents 2019 in its second edition, held at the Paseo Tamarindos at the end of Poniente beach, and where about 300 guests, enjoyed a visual spectacle whose optical effect allowed to see the models of catwalk walk over the water. Those present were able to enjoy a climatologically explosive sunset, with a waste of creativity, innovation and design on the part of the 8 finalists designers of this national fashion contest.
MFB is much more than a catwalk. It is an opportunity, a showcase to give visibility to the best-trained fashion designers in Spain, which becomes the main platform for promoting the talent of Spanish swimwear, with the collaboration of the City Council of Benidorm.
In support of this type of initiative and as godmother of the event, Dolores Cortés Swimwear opened the fashion shows with a spectacular selection of the best bathroom designs and trends for this season in which the young Benidorm Marián Ávila participated as guest model, the first Spanish model with Down syndrome that has become the sensation of the international catwalks as a result of her participation in the New York fashion week. The prodigious live voice of vocalist Helena Valkyr, accompanied the parade with a style of Dolores Cortés herself.
After a first block of finalist collections, Yvan Andreu, winner in 2018, introduced us with his VICIOUS collection in a galactic atmosphere specially created for this gala.
After the second block, came the most exclusive moment of the afternoon with the staging of the main exponent of the men's bathroom in our country. Manuel De Gotor, presented in Benidorm and exclusively, 'Remember the parade', a parade commemorating the 30th anniversary of the brand with their best creations from the nineties to the present.
Meanwhile, the members of the jury composed of Dolores Font Cortés, Carmen Torres Pérez, general secretary of Moda España; Daniel Martín Rabaneda, creative director of Ángel Schlesser; Esperanza Garbajosa Rodríguez, technical director of Creaciones Venus de Madrid; and Nuria De Miguel, recently appointed director of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, decided to award the two runners-up and the National Prize which distributes prizes valued at 20,000 €.
After the decision of the jury, Samara Tamames Gonzalez, was proclaimed winner, obtaining a check valued at € 3,000 and a scholarship for the completion of a Master of Business Training in Fashion 600 hours, thanks to the agreement signed by ModaEspaña and the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid, valued at € 7,500. The badalonesa Beatriz Álvarez Guallarte obtained the first runner-up and the Asturian Juncal Martínez Beiro, the second. Both runners-up received a cheque valued at €1,500.
In addition to the aforementioned prizes, this year's winner will have the opportunity to show her collection in the September edition of MOMAD is Fashion, as part of the Summer Terrace programme. As for the rest, all winners can enjoy a few days off in Benidorm, Patroney Key fashion pattern software, and in the case of runners-up, training courses at ISEM Fashion Business School and AITEX.
Remember that the vast majority of the fabrics that were seen in the collections of the finalists of the catwalk were provided by the leading industry Nextil Group.
The gala was conducted by the prestigious television presenter Patricia Betancort, and enlivened by the Spanish Boy Band UNIQUE who are on tour throughout Spain. The event was attended by fashion professionals, influencers and specialized journalists, who gave media coverage to the main swimwear event held in the Iberian Peninsula.
The rest of the young talents who opted to win this competition were Belén Pericét Medina - Barbora Cajkovicova - Amanda Blanco Moreno - Fernando Manuel Usero Rodríguez and Patricia Perales RichtSteiger.
